Greer Hitless, Streak Ends at 20 Saturday, August 5th, 1995 The Bisons stopped Rusty Greer's 20-game hitting streak today at Kernels Ballpark, but they couldn't stop the Danville Dairy Daddies, falling by the score of 5-4. Greer didn't get a hit for the first time in weeks, finishing 0-for-4. "It's just as well," Dairy Daddies manager said. "We couldn't spend the whole season going out of our way not to jinx him." This season Greer is batting .388 with 80 hits, 9 home runs, 37 RBIs, 30 walks, .463 OBP and has scored 46 runs. He has played in 53 games. |
