The leagues have announced their Players of the Week, highlighting two standout performances that dominated opposing pitching over the past seven days.

In the Federal League, Ron Gant of Orlando turned back the clock with an outstanding week at the plate. At age 32, the veteran left fielder hit .423 over six games, collecting 11 hits in 26 at-bats, 2 home runs, and 10 RBIs. His consistent production and timely power earned him Federal League Player of the Week honors.

Meanwhile, in the United League, Albert Belle of the Washington Senators delivered one of the most explosive offensive weeks of the season. Belle batted .429 (9-for-21), launching 5 home runs, driving in 11 RBIs, and scoring 7 runs, securing United League Player of the Week recognition.

Two leagues, two dominant performances — and a reminder that when the bats heat up, anything is possible.
