Los Angeles first baseman Rafael Palmeiro powered his way to the United League Player of the Week Award after a dominant stretch at the plate. The 31-year-old slugger hit .500 (8-for-16) with 5 home runs, 15 RBIs, and 5 runs scored, providing a major boost to the Dodgers’ offense. For the season, Palmeiro has been one of the league’s most productive hitters, posting a .251 average with 36 home runs, 92 RBIs, and 86 runs scored.

Federal League – Bernard Gilkey (Cleveland Spiders)
Cleveland outfielder Bernard Gilkey put together a scorching week to capture Federal League Player of the Week honors.
