1997 First-Year Player Draft Order Announcement

The Doubleday Baseball League is pleased to officially announce the draft order for the upcoming 1998 First-Year Player Draft following the conclusion of the 1997 season and postseason.
Selections 1 through 16 were determined based on regular season standings among non-playoff clubs.
Selections 17 through 20 belong to clubs eliminated during the Division Series round, with draft positioning determined by elimination timing and regular season record serving as the tiebreaker when necessary.
Selections 21 and 22 were assigned to the Championship Series participants, while selections 23 and 24 belong to the World Series runner-up and World Series champion respectively.
