The Orlando Sun Rays and Boston Red Sox cranked it up at Fenway Park.

Brian Jordan did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Orlando Sun Rays from losing, 8-3, to the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Jordan went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. The win was John Ericks's in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Tommy Greene took the loss for Orlando.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when third baseman Akira Eto, who is tied for 7th in the FL in triples with 5, hit a 2-run double. The Red Sox went on to win.

"We came out aggressive," said Red Sox manager Brett Williams. "We came out swinging the bats."

Boston is now 42-72. Orlando is 52-62.
