Yankees Roll to 8-3 Win Over Braves
|
The New York Yankees picked up a win at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium, knocking off the Atlanta Braves, 8-3. On the mound for New York was right-hander Mark Clark, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Yankees now own a record of 46-68.
It could have been a different outcome for New York, had it not been for Kelly Gruber, the top prospect . Gruber contributed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put New York up, 5-0.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Clark.
