Devil Rays Edge Past Reds, 7-6
The Orlando Devil Rays topped the Cincinnati Reds, 7-6, in Federal League action at Orlando Citrus Bowl. The player of the game was Orlando pitcher and Huntsville, Alabama native Jimmy Key. The second-place Reds have lost 6 consecutive games.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Chris Gomez came to bat in the bottom of the 12th. Facing Cincinnati pitcher Brian Shouse, he hit a 1-0 slider for a run-scoring double. It was a game-changer, putting Orlando on top, 7-6.

"Been a rough stretch for us," said Cincinnati manager Eric Deutsch.
