Chicago No Match for Guthrie
|
Mark Guthrie was dynamite at Comiskey Park today, blowing away the Chicago White Sox in a shutout victory. The Kansas City Royals starter had everything working as he held the White Sox to 4 hits in the 4-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said Chicago skipper Dustin Hafler. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Guthrie finished the game with 9 strikeouts and 1 walk.
This season to date Guthrie has a record of 16 wins and 5 losses with a 4.36 ERA, has appeared in 26 games and struck out 162 in 190 innings.
