The Rochester Red Wings and Buffalo Bisons cranked it up at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale.

Buffalo first baseman Kevin Young made his presence felt in the 9-5 Bisons triumph over the Rochester Red Wings. Young went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The win was Andres Berumen's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Lee Hancock took the loss for Rochester.

Buffalo took a 7-5 lead on Tim Spehr's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Rochester pitcher Russ Springer in the top of the eighth.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Spehr told the Buffalo Citizen.

The Bisons, now 2-0, have stormed out of the gates.
