|
Buffalo pitcher Kevin Foster did his part in helping his team beat the Rochester Red Wings, 9-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Foster, now 1-0, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 9, walking 1, and allowing 3 earned runs. The Bisons, now 3-0, have hit the ground running this season.
It could have been a different outcome for Buffalo, had it not been for Rich Aurilia, the top prospect . Aurilia contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put Buffalo up, 2-1.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Aurilia. "And not try to do too much."
