The Buffalo Bisons topped the Savannah Swamp Foxes, 7-3, in Atlantic action at Paradise Grounds. The player of the game was Buffalo pitcher Mike Williams. Williams, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 4 walks. Buffalo improves to 3-2 as they look to defend their championship.

The Bisons grabbed the lead in the top of the third. With two out, Tim Spehr hit a 2-run home run off C J Nitkowski, putting Buffalo in front, 5-0. For Spehr, it was his 1st home run of the season.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Williams said.
