Bisons Get Road Win, 7-3
|
Buffalo rode a decent outing from starter Danny Jackson to victory over the Savannah Swamp Foxes at Paradise Grounds. The final score was 7-3. Jackson, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 6, walking 4, and allowing 3 earned runs. Buffalo improves to 4-3 as they look to defend their championship.
David Howard had a big 2-run single for the Bisons in the top of the fourth inning. With Buffalo trailing 2-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Shawn Estes and stroked the single to right-center. It was his 3rd hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bisons ahead, 3-2.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Jackson.
