Bisons Win in Glorious Fashion
The Jacksonville Suns got a superb performance from pitcher Ricky Bones. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Buffalo. The Bisons won the game, 5-4. In spite of the loss, Bones was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. Buffalo reliever Tim Fortugno was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Shayne Bennett took the loss for Jacksonville. Buffalo, now 6-4, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Enrique Wilson was the walk-off hero for Buffalo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bisons shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Wilson said.
