Cyclones Continue Skid Thanks to Stairs, Bisons
Matt Stairs left his imprint on the 26-11 Buffalo win against the Brooklyn Cyclones. Stairs, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1991 draft, slugged 2 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 6. Brooklyn, at 1-11, is off to a poor start in 1997.

Buffalo relied on the bat of Kevin Young to get the win. The first baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Bisons ahead, 4-1. For the game, Young had 1 double and 2 home runs in 5 at-bats.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Stairs said.
