Asheville starter Salomon Torres had a strong outing against the Rochester Red Wings at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 9-2 win. The Red Wings, now 1-21, continue their slow start.

Torres, who is tied for 3rd in the ATL in innings pitched with 36.2, pitched a complete game for Asheville. Torres surrendered 6 hits over 9 innings and struck out 12. With the win, he moves to 2-2 on the season.

Torres pitched well, despite being a bit under the weather. "To be honest, I was sick before the game," he said. "Just a stomach bug."
