Cyclones Prove Rude Guests, Win 8-5 at Rochester
Behind a solid performance from right fielder Chili Davis, the Brooklyn Cyclones defeated the Rochester Red Wings, 8-5. Davis was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Cyclones. Jim Mecir finished to wrap up his 5th save. Brooklyn goes to 18-17, Rochester to 5-30.

With Brooklyn leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Davis hit a fastball from Chris Gardner for a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Cyclones ahead, 5-0.

"It was a solid team effort," said Davis after the game.
