Red Wings Bang Out 12-8 Win Versus Buffalo
|
The Rochester Red Wings relied on the hitting of first baseman Tim Unroe to stop the Buffalo Bisons, 12-8. For the game, Unroe was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Rochester reliever Oscar Munoz picked up the win to move to 1-1. Andres Berumen suffered the loss. Rochester is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Rochester took control in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, Terrell Lowery hit a run-scoring single to make it 5-4, Red Wings.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Unroe.
