Bisons Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
Buffalo and Rochester duked it out at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale and the Bisons came out victorious.
Darren Reed did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Rochester Red Wings from losing, 7-5, to the Buffalo Bisons at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale. Reed was 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Buffalo reliever Bob W. Malloy picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Wade Taylor absorbed the loss.
David Howard drove in one run for Buffalo. In the top of the seventh, with the teams deadlocked, 5-5, Howard delivered for the Bisons. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Buffalo on top, 6-5.
"We'll savor this win," Howard told the Buffalo Times, "then get ready for the next game."
The Bisons, now 25-12, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.
