Bisons Come Back Late, Nip Red Wings
|
Buffalo Bisons starter Shawn Boskie was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Rochester Red Wings, 4-3. Buffalo reliever Chris Peters picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Chuck Crim absorbed the loss. Buffalo has an impressive 26-12 record.
Buffalo relied on the hitting of Manny Martinez to pick up the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bisons on top, 4-3. For the game, Martinez had 1 triple and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"I was a little disappointed," said Rochester manager . "We could've and should've scored more runs."
