Rayford hits 2 home runs, Dairy Daddies Move to 26-15
|
The losses keep piling up for the Rochester Red Wings.
The Danville Dairy Daddies grabbed a 8-1 win over the Rochester Red Wings at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale. Danville third baseman Floyd Rayford went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 to earn player of the game honors. Danville starter Tim Worrell was credited with the win after throwing 104 pitches over 8 innings. His record now stands at 3-0.
In the top of the first, Rayford pounced on a 2-2 curveball from Brad Woodall and hit a 2-run home run. It put Danville on top, 2-0.
"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Rayford told the Danville News. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
The current losing streak for Rochester has reached 8 games.
