Bisons Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The Buffalo Bisons beat the Asheville Moonshiners, 7-2, at Torrance Grounds. The win was largely due to the efforts of right fielder Eddie Zambrano, who captured player of the game honors. He was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Andres Berumen picked up the win. His record improves to 1-1. Masaki Saito took the loss. Buffalo has now won 4 games in a row.
With Buffalo leading 3-0 in the top of the third, Zambrano hit a fastball from Masaki Saito for a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Bisons ahead, 6-0.
"We played hard and won," said Zambrano. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
