Moonshiners Win at Columbus, 4-0
|
Asheville Moonshiners starter Jeff Juden was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Columbus Clippers, 4-0. In 5.1 innings, Juden surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 4. He allowed no runs. Mike Draper, credited with the save, is now 14 for 17 in save opportunities.
Asheville first baseman Oreste Marrero made his contribution to the Moonshiners cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning. For the day, Marrero was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch.
"Jeff is still learning," said Moonshiners manager . "The sky's the limit for him."
The Moonshiners own a robust 48-26 mark.
