Victory Over Dairy Daddies Takes Hartford to 54-23
Mike Thurman never let Danville get something going. The Hartford right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Whalers to a 1-0 win. Cory Lidle was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 25 of 28 save opportunities. Hartford leads the Atlantic Northeast by 5½ games.

Rod Myers went 1-2 for Hartford. The 24-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Tom Gordon. It was his 52nd RBI of the season.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Myers said.
