The Buffalo Bisons eked out a 4-3 win versus the Jacksonville Suns at Aspinwall Grounds. Nobody did more than first baseman Kevin Young, who captured player of the game honors. The win was credited to Chris Peters in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Shayne Bennett took the loss. The Bisons own a robust 48-27 mark.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Buffalo center fielder Manny Martinez, facing Shayne Bennett, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Bisons the 4-3 win.

"We've got a great group of guys," Martinez said, "and we're having fun right now."
