Loss to Bisons Extends Brooklyn Losing Streak
|
The 1997 season is getting ugly for Brooklyn.
The Buffalo Bisons handed the Brooklyn Cyclones a sound defeat, 11-2, at Ballpark of Fremont. James Mouton was a main contributor to the win. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Buffalo. The winner was Chris Peters in relief. His record improves to 5-2. Jim Mecir took the loss.
Mouton put Buffalo up, 11-2, when he hit a 3-run home run off Todd Erdos in the top of the sixth. His 1st home run of the season helped the Bisons capture the win.
"We let our audience down today," said Brooklyn skipper .
The last-place Cyclones have lost 7 straight games.
