The Asheville Moonshiners defeated the Buffalo Bisons, 6-2, at Aspinwall Grounds today. Leading the charge for Asheville was second baseman Wilton Guerrero. He went 4-5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Moonshiners improve their record to 48-35 with the win over Buffalo.

Asheville used the bat of Randall Simon to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Moonshiners ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
