Whalers Bang Out 10-1 Win Versus Brooklyn
Hartford starter Bobby Chouinard put a stranglehold on the Brooklyn offense. The right-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Whalers to a 10-1 win. Chouinard went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 10-2. Hartford has now won 4 straight, while the Cyclones have lost 11 in a row.

It could have been a different outcome for Hartford, had it not been for Ricky Gutierrez, the 27-year old first baseman . Gutierrez contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning to put Hartford up, 2-0.

Brooklyn manager called the blowout loss "a real dud."
