The Danville Dairy Daddies eked out a 6-5 win versus the Buffalo Bisons at Aspinwall Grounds. Nobody did more than right fielder Joey Cora, who captured player of the game honors. The Dairy Daddies go to 41-52, putting them last in the Atlantic Southeast.
The Danville win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Mike Stanley. In the top of the seventh, the Danville catcher came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 6-5 lead.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Cora said after the game.
