Clippers Turn Back Bisons, 9-8
The Columbus Clippers topped the Buffalo Bisons by the score of 9-8, with the largest share of the credit going to shortstop Luis Sojo. Sojo was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Clippers. Columbus reliever Dennis Konuszewski picked up the win, bumping his record to 3-0. John Frascatore was collared with the loss. Doug Simons converted his 22nd save in 24 tries.

The Clippers beat the Bisons with some clutch hitting. The home run by Shawn Hare in the bottom of the fifth is a good example. With two down, Hare gave his team the lead, 8-6, when he came through with the big hit.

"We found a way to get it done," Hare said.

After today's action, Columbus sits at 45-52, while Buffalo falls to 73-24.
