Suns Fall to Sefcik, Clippers
|
The Columbus Clippers topped the Jacksonville Suns by the score of 8-4, with the largest share of the credit going to center fielder Kevin Sefcik. Sefcik was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Clippers. With the win over Jacksonville, the Clippers improved to 46-53.
It could have been a different outcome for Columbus, had it not been for Dave McCarty, the 25-year old first baseman . McCarty contributed a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put Columbus up, 6-4.
"There's still time to turn this season around," said McCarty.
