Cyclones Prove Rude Guests, Win 5-2 at Rochester

The Brooklyn Cyclones picked up a win at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale, knocking off the Rochester Red Wings, 5-2. On the mound for Brooklyn was right-hander Bob Milacki, who played a pivotal role in the win. Jim Mecir notched his 17th save in 21 chances. The Cyclones bumped their record to 50-49 with this latest triumph.
Brooklyn used the timely hitting of Harold Baines to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cyclones on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Baines.
