Center Fielder Martinez goes 3-for-5, Steals Spotlight in Buffalo Rout

The Buffalo Bisons beat the Rochester Red Wings, 12-0, at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale. Manny Martinez was recognized as player of the game for his performance. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. The 26-year old center fielder was a menace to Rochester all day. Shawn Boskie went 6 innings for Buffalo to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with no earned runs. He scattered 4 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 0. His record improves to 9-6. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Bisons.
Martinez put Buffalo up, 11-0, when he hit a grand slam home run off Brad Woodall in the top of the sixth. His 10th home run of the season helped the Bisons capture the win.
"I thought we played a nice game," Martinez told the Buffalo Times. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
