There was no shortage of dramatics at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale today.
The Rochester Red Wings defeated the Buffalo Bisons, 3-1, in Atlantic action at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale, with Rochester pitcher Tom Urbani named player of the game. The 5th-place Red Wings improved to 47-56.
Darren Reed chipped in for Rochester with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Reed told the Rochester Daily News. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
