Hardtke goes 4-for-5, Leads Swamp Foxes to Win
|
The Savannah Swamp Foxes relied on the hitting of second baseman Jason Hardtke to stop the Buffalo Bisons, 6-3. For the game, Hardtke was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 times. Savannah now sits in third place in the Atlantic Southeast at 60-46.
It could have been a different outcome for Savannah, had it not been for Jack Howell, the 35-year old third baseman . Howell contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Savannah up, 4-3.
Howell told a Savannah Daily News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
