Swamp Foxes Top Cyclones in Extras
|
Spirited fans at Ballpark of Fremont greeted the Brooklyn Cyclones for their clash with the Savannah Swamp Foxes.
The Savannah Swamp Foxes got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Alan Benes, but it was good enough for the club to take a 5-3 decision over the Brooklyn Cyclones. Johnny Ruffin notched his 2nd save in 3 chances.
Terry Bradshaw's hit in the top of the 13th was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a fastball from Randy Hennis for a 2-run double. It put Savannah in front, 4-2.
"I'm glad this one's going in the books as a 'W'," Bradshaw said.
Savannah has 3 straight wins, Brooklyn 6 straight losses.
