Bisons Shut Out Suns
|
Buffalo got a strong outing from Mac Suzuki as the Bisons defeated the Jacksonville Suns, 3-0, at Field of the Running Rebels. Suzuki went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 4. His record improves to 12-6. Mike Cook notched his 3rd save in 5 chances.
It could have been a different outcome for Buffalo, had it not been for Manny Martinez, the 26-year old center fielder . Martinez contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put Buffalo up, 2-0.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager .
Buffalo has now won 3 in a row.
