In a low-scoring clash between Ocean City and Rochester, pitcher Woody Williams was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for Ocean City in the 3-2 win. Williams, now 6-10, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 9, walking 6, and allowing 2 earned runs. Joe Grahe converted his 2nd save in 2 tries.

Walt Weiss had a big run-scoring single for the Blue Crabs in the bottom of the second inning. With Ocean City leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from Lee Hancock and stroked the single to center. It was his 41st hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blue Crabs ahead, 2-0.

"We did enough to win," said Weiss.

The Blue Crabs' win now puts them at 48-67.
