The Asheville Moonshiners and Buffalo Bisons cranked it up at Torrance Grounds.
The Buffalo Bisons knocked off the Asheville Moonshiners, 7-6, at Torrance Grounds. James Mouton, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Buffalo won. The left fielder was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Buffalo reliever Andres Berumen was credited with the win, to go to 4-4. Chan Ho Park took the loss for Asheville. Tim Fortugno notched his 24th save in 28 chances.
Mouton got the Bisons off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single.
"We got the victory," said Mouton. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
Buffalo, now 69-47, holds second place in the Atlantic Northeast.
