The Bisons had to overcome a fine effort from Bluff City pitcher Steve W Sparks to grab a narrow 2-1 win at Ravens Ballpark. Sparks went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Buffalo reliever Bob W. Malloy picked up the win, upping his record to 10-1. Steve W Sparks took the loss. Buffalo is now 72-49, Bluff City 62-59.

Enrique Wilson made it 2-1, Buffalo, in the top of the eighth when he hit a sacrifice fly. It was a big at-bat in the Bisons win.

"I was a little disappointed," said Bluff City manager . "We could've and should've scored more runs."
