The New Orleans Brass did just enough to sneak past the Portland Stag, 4-3, at Tuttle Fields. New Orleans pitcher Vaughn Eshelman earned player of the game honors. Mark Brandenburg closed it out for his 2nd save. The win takes New Orleans to 4-3.

A key at-bat came in the top of the eighth inning. With a runner on 2nd, the batter, Chris Snopek, hit a run-scoring double. It made the score 4-3, New Orleans, and helped them go on to win.
