River Rats Solve Lazy Fisherman, 5-2

Spokane River Rats starter Jeff C D'Amico turned in a top-notch performance against the Naperville Lazy Fisherman at Foxes Ballpark. The result was a win for the River Rats, 5-2. Matt Whisenant picked up the save for Spokane, his 3rd of the year. With the win, Spokane improves its record to 5-3.
Mark Dalesandro was a prime contributor to the Spokane win. He was 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth with one out, the 28-year old catcher hit a 2-run double. It made the score 3-0, in favor of the River Rats.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," D'Amico said.
