Tucson used a superb performance from starting pitcher Rick Krivda to down the Naperville Lazy Fisherman, 3-1. The winning pitcher was Krivda, now 3-0. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 3. Stan Belinda earned his 1st save in 1 tries.

Tucson used the timely hitting of Matt Walbeck to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Tarantulas on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Walbeck attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."

Tucson, now 9-3, has played well in the early going.
