Lazy Fisherman Continue Skid Thanks to Cedeno, Sky Fox
|
The Colorado Springs Sky Fox defeated the Naperville Lazy Fisherman, 12-8, at Motors Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Colorado Springs was second baseman Andujar Cedeno. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Frank Viola was the winner. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 6 runs on 9 hits, with 1 walk and no strikeouts. Colorado Springs is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 5th in 15 games.
Cedeno came through with some timely hitting for Colorado Springs. With the score 2-2 in the bottom of the second and two down, Cedeno hit a 2-1 fastball for a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season made it 5-2, Colorado Springs.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Cedeno said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
