Portland starter Brett Tomko put a stranglehold on the Omaha offense. The right-hander had complete command of his sinker in leading the Stag to a 4-1 win. The Storm Chasers, now 6-15, continue their slow start.

Mike Macfarlane put Portland in front, 4-1, when he took Carlos Pulido downtown. His 2-run home run came with one out in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 4th home run of the season.

"I thought we played a nice game," Macfarlane told the Portland Bulletin. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
