Tarantulas Turn Back Tacoma, 4-3

The Tucson Tarantulas defeated the Tacoma Rainiers, 4-3, in Pacific action at Ballpark of Louisville, with Tucson pitcher Mike Williams named player of the game. Tucson reliever Hector Carrasco picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Bobby Ayala shouldered the loss. Losses have been few and far between for the Rainiers so far this season. Their record drops to 14-7.
Ray Giannelli aided the Tucson cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the third baseman was 1-2 with a walk.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Tucson manager .
