|
The Salt Lake City Buzz topped the Naperville Lazy Fisherman, 2-1, in Pacific action at Bella Vista Grounds. The player of the game was Salt Lake City pitcher and La Junta, Colorado native Mike Oquist. Paul Spoljaric earned the save, his 7th. Salt Lake City goes to 14-8 with the win.
The Buzz beat the Lazy Fisherman with some clutch hitting. The single by Emil Brown in the bottom of the sixth is a good example. With two down, Brown gave his team the lead, 2-1, when he came through with the big hit.
Afterward, Buzz manager was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
