Rainiers Stymie Nashville, Take 5-1 Win
|
The Tacoma Rainiers got a strong performance from pitcher Bryan Hickerson, who stymied the Nashville offense en route to a 5-1 win at Premont Grounds. Hickerson went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 1. His record improves to 1-1. The Sounds, now 14-13, have lost 4 straight.
Joe Oliver, who is tied for 3rd in the PAC in doubles with 8, chipped in for Tacoma with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
