Brass Stay Hot With 9-6 Win
|
Naperville right fielder Dan Peltier was sensational. He was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. New Orleans beat the Lazy Fisherman, 9-6. Peltier was named the player of the game despite the loss. Earning his 3rd save for New Orleans was Luis Aquino. New Orleans now has a 8-game win streak.
The Brass got a big at-bat from left fielder Ruben Sierra. For the game, Sierra was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave New Orleans a 3-0 lead.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Sierra told the New Orleans Bulletin.
