The Portland Stag beat the Colorado Springs Sky Fox, 10-1, at Motors Ballpark. The Stag got a fine performance from second baseman Mike Mordecai, who captured player of the game honors. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2. Omar Olivares got the win, improving to 4-2. He held the Sky Fox to 1 earned run on 3 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 3. Portland now has a 5-game win streak.
In the top of the third, with the game tied, Colorado Springs allowed the Stag to go up, 1-0, on a Colorado Springs error.
