Multi-HR Game for Incaviglia in 8-1 Win
|
The Omaha Storm Chasers knocked off the Tacoma Rainiers, 8-1, at Maples Stadium. Pete Incaviglia, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Omaha won. The designated hitter belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Kevin Tapani earned the win to go to 6-1. He allowed no earned runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. The first-place Storm Chasers have a one-game lead in their division.
Incaviglia put Omaha up, 7-0, when he hit a 3-run home run off Duff Brumley in the bottom of the sixth. His 11th home run of the season helped the Storm Chasers capture the win.
"I really like what we did out there today," Incaviglia said after the game.
