Stag Come Back Late to Clip Warriors
|
Walla Walla pitcher Kirk McCaskill gave the Stag all they could handle, but in the end, Portland left Tuttle Fields with a 5-4 win. McCaskill allowed 4 earned runs on 6 hits over 7 innings. Walla Walla now has a 5-game losing streak.
Mark P Johnson was the walk-off hero for Portland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Stag designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place was rocking at the end," Johnson said.
